While playing this game, your students will be demonstrating their skills showing the use of punctuation and capitalization. The questions are designed to mimic the way punctuation and capitalization are sometimes questioned on state mandated tests using a multiple choice format. Students are asked to select the needed change for the underlined section or to determine if the selection is correct as it is.
This is a fun way for you to review with your class basic punctuation and capitalization rules. The addition of an electronic tic-tac-toe option adds the skill of logic into this game as well.
Punctuation and Capitalization Baseball is a great game for the whole class using a whiteboard, but is just as effective installed on a computer for students to play one to one.
The answer selections change colors to show if the answer chosen is correct or incorrect. When the correct answer is selected, the crowd will applaud and an umpire will appear declaring the player safe. If the answer chosen is incorrect, the answer will turn color as well, but a strike whooshing sound will happen.
